“It don’t take a genius to spot a goat in a flock of sheep”

Sheep, they follow along with whatever the group does. Anchor Brewing is definitely not a sheep. Their take on the bock is proof of this. If you think you know what this beer tastes like, because you’ve tasted all of the sheep out there, sit down for a nice glass of “goat.”
To be honest, I don’t like bocks. They are too sweet, not hoppy enough and the alcohol tends to overpower the beer. But they are still beer, so I always give them a try. So when I saw this goat staring back at me on the shelf at the grocery store, I had to try it, especially since it came from Anchor Brewing.
The description on the bottle claims bocks are “darker and stronger than the brewery’s regular brew.” The roots of this brew are definitely in the original Anchor Steam. Thankfully, this beer is not syrupy sweet. The best way to describe it is Anchor Steam, but more so, dark and rich.
Definitely go out and grab one of these. I found them at Safeway, and in case you didn’t know, you can buy solos at Safeway.
