Green Bottle Smashes Clear Bottle

Do you like your beer in green bottles with massive advertising budgets? Well then this weekend brings good news for you. Heineken and Carlsberg are buying out Scottish & Newcastle. The deal will be for $15.3 billion. So what does this mean to craft brewers here in the New World? Just about nothing, but beer news is beer news.
I haven’t drank Newcastle for years, and the brands under their unbrella don’t do much for me either. I can say the same for Heineken and Carlsberg.
