God is Good

For those not familiar with beer brewing history, don’t worry, I’m not changing the theme of this blog. Back in the dark ages, before we knew of yeast, brewers would make their wort, set it out, and when they saw the saw the signs of fermentation, well, what you had was proof that “God is good.” What the hell am I talking about? Well, another example that God is good.
As I mentioned in my last post, the old pancreas has been acting up. Not only that, I feared I may have to give up drinking beer. Well, as I said, God is good. I peered into the wort of my medical condition and found it all churning and bubbling with good news. Since my condition is hereditary, basically I have a defective pancreas, and from time to time, it may just act up for no reason at all. Now, this doesn’t mean traditional triggers (fatty diet, alcohol, stress, lack of sleep) are fair game, but in moderation, they should be alright.
So for now, I’m out of the beer game for a couple weeks. My Super Bowl celebration will feature broth and jello washed down with a Sprite of Ginger Ale. I had planned on attending the Double IPA festival at the Bistro in 2 weeks, but since I will be just graduating to more substanial foods by then, I doubt my body will be up for the tasty and intoxicating brews to be served that day.
So until I’m back on my feet, I’ve got 2 posts about beer up my sleeve and will be focusing on finding news for everyone. Stick around, I hope I can entertain you.
