Unfinished Business

A week or so ago, I went through the Deschutes lineup. I’d tried all but the popular Black Butte Porter. From what I remember, the porter was always a solid beer, and trying it again, I can’t say I was disappointed.
Black Butte is nice and roasty like a porter should be, but not too heavy. Very dark, with a mocha head, this is one of the better beers in their lineup. Hard to say where I’d fit it in with the other’s I tried. This beer isn’t about fireworks, it’s a well crafted, quality beer that hits the mark on what a porter should be.
