It’s Sunday morning, you’re sitting in front of the TV to watch whatever game might be on TV for the given season. It might be 11 am, but the sun is bright and you’re thirsty. You head to the fridge and to your dismay, find no beer. What’s worse, you live in a state like Colorado. Looks like you’ll have to wait to drink beer until your Monday morning commute. But fear not Colorado residents, things may be looking up.

Florida has some pretty weird liquor laws. There is no liquor sold in grocery stores. I think that’s pretty common in a lot of states, but coming from CA that definitely struck me as weird.
Also…40oz bottles are not sold at all in Florida. You can still buy quart sized King Cobra, but you’ll have to go to Georgia to buy a 40.
I live in Alachua County. Here they have the same 2am-6am no liquor thing, but it’s different on Sundays. You can’t buy any alcohol (anywhere) before 1pm and after 11pm on Sundays. This sucks for so many reasons….mostly because football starts at 1pm out here and you have to miss the first part of the game if you want to buy beer.
The other Sunday I was up cleaning and what not when I got the idea to have some Mississippi Mud and grill a huge steak on account of it being so nice outside. I go to the store and grab my steak and Mississippi Mud, only to have the cashier remind me that I still had another hour until 1pm. I had to return to the store an hour later to buy my beer. That is not so good, Al.
