Nice Delicious…Glass?

Anyone ever watch the HBO series “Oz?”  Remember when O’Reilly and Adebisi ground up glass and fed it to Nino until he died?  You didn’t see that?  That’s too bad, it was a really interesting series.  Why do I mention it?  Well it appears Sam Adams is O’Reilly, their bottle manufacturer is Adebisi, and all of us get to play the role of Nino. 

Ok, Sam Adams is not trying to kill us to get a bigger part of the drug trade, and I am confident it isn’t on purpose that pieces of glass are ending up in bottles, if thats even the case.  What I do know is Sam Adams has issued a voluntary recall for bottles out of their Cincinnati brewery.  Apparently, the bottle manufacturer made a bunch of faulty bottles that could potentially lead to little grains of glass ending up inside the bottle.  Don’t be worried, there is a way to find out if your bottle is safe or not.  Visit their website, and follow the instructions.

Let me repeat, I do not believe this was intentional and it is not known if any glass has been found in any bottles.  Sam Adams is doing their best to make sure drinking their product is safe.  There, now don’t sue me.

I’m going to go home and check my bottles of Mackeson’s, which comes from said Cincinnati brewery.
