It Has Arrived: Dogfish Head in the Bay
April 17, 2008 by Mario
We have a global economy, most of the products you buy have links to various places around the world. Maybe the plastic was produced in China, the product assembled in Central America, the company who sells the item could be European, and we buy it at a store here in the United States. So if the everyday products we buy can be from the far reaches of the globe, why has it taken so long for the Bay area to get kegs of beer from Delaware? Does it matter? They are here now.
Dogfish Head beers will officially be available here in Bay Area on Monday at Toronado in San Francisco. The beers available will be their 2007 Olde School Barleywine, 2007 Immort Ale and 2006 Chateau Jiahu, all paired with a cheese. The Jiahu is one of their archaeological brews, rescued from ancient pottery, this time from China.
Expect to find bottles hitting the Bay area later this year, including the famous 90 Minute Imperial IPA. If you live in the East Bay, might take a little longer, as no distributor has been found.
