Best Place to Work: New Belgium Brewing

Do you like going outside? Sure, who doesn’t. There’s the sun out there, and wind, and air. It’s great. And for those times when you can’t be “out” there, you can read a magazine about it, Outside Magazine. Outside Magazine has decided the best place to spend time inside and collect a paycheck is New Belgium Brewing. Far out.
So why does New Belgium win the award? Among employee benefits is a paid trip to Belgium for employees after 5 years with the company so you can learn about beer culture. After one year you get a free bike. Not only that, they have foosball and ping pong. Sounds like my fraternity at Cal, but we never went to Belgium, and the bike in the basement needed some serious attention.
Does this really surprise anyone? Who hasn’t thought working in a brewery would be the greatest job ever?
