Way back when, Powerhouse Brewing Co was the brewery in the city of Sebastopol. They closed and sometime after, Sebastopol Brewing took their place in the historic downtown Sebastopol building. From the figurative ashes of what was Sebastopol Brewing Company, Hopmonk Tavern has been born.

There’s a new trend in brewing that most not be aware of. Well, it’s not exactly brewing, but packaging. And, it’s not exactly new, it’s old, and it kinda sucked. It’s an aluminum can, and it’s going to change the world, or the way you drink beer, one brand of beer, in select markets.

You think cheesy televised talent shows have a monopoly on being charitable. Think again. To mark Craft Beer Week (May 12-18), the Brewers Association for the first time announced charitable contributions for 2007, and the total is coming above $20 million. That’s a lot of beer!
