I love when a beer takes you back to a certain place. While living in Oregon, I was surrounded by great beer but a few brews brought me home to California. Now that I am back in my home state, these beers still find a place close to my heart. (more…)

Hey, did you know February is Strong Beer Month. This is specifically something between Magnolia and 21st Amendment breweries in San Francisco, but can we really say that it doesn’t deserve to be a universally acknowledged event? We’ve had the Bistro’s Double IPA festival, Toronado’s Barleywine festival, barleywines are hitting the shelves and let’s face it, is there a better month to crack open a beer that will warm the soul than February? I popped a couple bottles this week in honor of Strong Beer Month and wanted to share them with you. (more…)

For my birthday I received a nice amount of money to spend on beer at BevMo. Sunday, before the weather got too nasty, I decided to spend a little of it. I didn’t want to spend too much, thirty or forty dollars. Enough to stock the fridge and maybe add a beer or two t the closet. Let’s see how I did. (more…)

Christmas time brings us lots of once a year specials. We all know about the fantastic selection of brews available, but my personal favorite perk of the holiday season is the company Christmas party.
