Slowly, Dogfish Head brews are trickling into the Bay Area. While I’ve written about the 90 Minute IPA, one of their more interesting beers would be Midas Touch. The recipe came from the remnant found inside a vessel buried inside of King Midas’ tomb. So it’s time for a little history lesson, as we drink like a king from times past. (more…)

A few months back, I noticed that BevMo’s Rogue shelf had run bare. There was Dead Guy, and the Morimoto’s, but not much else. Where had all the Rogue gone. Recently, we were excited to see Dogfish Head hitting the shelves locally in May. Yet as June wears on, we have nothing. What’s going on? (more…)

I talk a lot about the expectations I might have whe trying a beer for the first time. This usually gets me in trouble, as you can never tell what a beer tastes like by looking at a bottle, or reading the brewers description. With all the talk that surrounds Dogfish Head and their 90 Minute IPA, I began to think it was just an East Coast version of Russian River’s Pliny the Elder.
