When companies like Magic Hat and Pyramid merge, we craft brewing fans start wondering “What’s next?” with anticipation of access to new beers, and exposure to new brewing styles and techniques. When MillerSAB and CoorsMolson merge within the U.S. Market, again we respond with “What’s next?”, anticipating new ways to produce bland, boring beverages for mass consumption.
Basically, the Department of Justice has approved the merger, and the two brewing giants will merge their companies within the United States. The biggest question I have is, what will happen to Blue Moon? Not exactly a top brand, but still better option than what is typically available where macros dominate.
