Ever wake up in the morning, and your hands just tremble uncontrolably? The only cure is a beer, and you gotta have it fast. If you answered yes, then take the month off of work and check into rehab. Seriously. If you’re in the mood for a good kind of tremble, grab a bottle of Delirium Tremens.
First off, I have no idea if tremens actually translates to anything close to trembling, but I’m an American, and making baseless assumptions is what we do best. Tremens is a Belgian Golden Ale. Similar to Duvel, this one goes crazy when poured into a glass. There’s a mild aroma, fairly typical of the style. The flavor is fairly sweet and full of alcohol. This is finished off with a good balance of spicy hops.
After drinking this, a little history on the beer. A few years ago they cut the strength of this brew back from 9.0% to 8.5%. This was a smart move. Even with the step back, this is a strong beer which could be overpowering. Even at 8.5% this one has the ability to bring on the trembles I mentioned above, so be careful.
